چکیده

This paper presents a very compact, wideband, and enhanced-gain antenna for 5G applications. A simple single-layer millimeter wave (mm-wave) metamaterial lens (meta-lens) is used to improve the gain, aperture efficiency, gain bandwidth of slotted-patch over wide range frequencies from 25 GHz 31 GHz. The exhibits negative refractive index behavior, which attributed substantial enhancement around 4-5 dBi whole band compared values slotted patch alone. lens’s unit cell comprises split ring resonator (SRR) whose dimensions are carefully chosen transmitted power suppress absorbed reflected power. meta-lens consists 8×8 subwavelength SRR cells. Each has an area 1.6×1.6 mm 2 , it located in near-field region closely above produce total size 12.8 ×12.8 ×7.27mm xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3 ( 1.2 ? × 0.68 ?, where free space wavelength at 28 GHz). maximum proposed 12.7 dBi, 1 dB 18%, efficiency 92%, -10 impedance (10 B.W.) 17%. excellent combination essential metrics hard realize mm-wave using narrowband structures (microstrip antennas), highest thus far such class antennas.

A Millimeter-Wave Wideband High-Gain Antenna Based on the Fabry-Perot Resonator Antenna Concept

A compact millimeter-wave (MMW) wideband high-gain antenna is proposed and implemented. The development is based on the design principle of wideband Fabry-Perot resonator antennas (FPRAs). The antenna consists of triple-layer dielectric slabs and a PEC ground, and it is fed by a rectangular waveguide. All slabs are used to form the superstrate that exhibits the increasing reflection phase at th...

Wideband Millimeter - Wave Cavity - Backed Bowtie Antenna

Although many directive antennas operating in a narrow band of millimeter (mm) waves were reported, e.g., antennas for 60GHz wireless local area network (WLAN), their wideband counterparts are still unpopular. Cavity-backed antennas (CBAs) are widely developed and reported in microwave frequency bands, but handful of literatures can be found about mm-wave CBAs in spite that their many propertie...

A Novel Compact Ultra-Wideband Antenna with Single and Double Band Rejection

Band-notch characteristic has been of great interest recently to overcome the electromagnetic interference of Ultra-wideband systems (UWB) with other existing ones. In this paper, we present a novel microstrip-fed antenna with band rejection property appropriate for UWB applications. Band-notch characteristic has been achieved by adding a rectangular resonant element to the ground section. A pr...
